It's not news that traveling with kids is hard. We tapped into Portland-based mama Whitney Goodman @wmgoods, to see how she plans to pack her ToteSavvy Deluxe for her Thanksgiving trip with the family.
I try to stay as organized as possible between running my brand strategy and marketing consulting business and running around after our 9 month old daughter, Inez. Because we’re in the holiday season, things are particularly hectic, including quite a few family trips.
When we first had Inez, we used a full-on, enormous diaper bag, but as she’s gotten older I’ve been trying to streamline our whole system and paring it back to just the essentials. I recently started using ToteSavvy’s Deluxe in Merlot and am taking it with us on our trip to San Francisco this Thanksgiving. This allows me to just throw it into my bag, pack one check-in bag with all of our stuff, and be done with it. Plus it keeps things my bag organized (always a struggle for me), safe from leaky bottles or spills, and I can swap it into other bags super easily.
Here’s what I’m bringing with us:
- My laptop and charger
- Sunglasses
- Airpods
- A change of clothes & light sweater for Inez
- Antibacterial wipes for the plane
- All natural cleansing wipes
- Water Wipes
- 4 Diapers
- A teether and two small toys
That's it! Luckily the flight is short, so I have the ability to keep it a bit more paired down. I'll keep you posted on how it goes!
